If you’re 35+ and any of this sounds like your life right now — you’re in exactly the right place.
Does Any of This Sound Familiar?
Twenty years ago, working out felt good. You had the energy, the motivation, and the body that bounced back. You pushed through, recovered fast, and never gave it a second thought. Now, you hesitate before you even start because you know that somewhere between the warm-up and the cool-down, something is going to ache.
You wake up with a stiff back most mornings. Not injured, not sick, just stiff. Like your body needs an hour just to remember how to move. It’s frustrating in a way that’s hard to explain to anyone who hasn’t felt it.
The things you used to do without thinking — sprinting, hiking, sitting cross-legged on the floor — now come with conditions. Your knees decide whether today is a good day for hills. Your hips have opinions about how you sit. Your hamstrings protest every time you try to stretch them. And the worst part? You used to be active. This was never supposed to be your story.
So you try to get back into a routine. You start a new workout programme with the best intentions and then, two weeks in, something tweaks. A knee. A shoulder. Your lower back. And just like that you’re on the couch again, waiting to heal, wondering if this is just what getting older feels like now.
You remember when friends warned you: “Wait until you’re 40. Your body takes longer to recover, you feel things earlier.” You didn’t believe them then. Now you do. And that quiet fear in the back of your mind — what if this is just how it is now? — gets a little louder every time you have to stop again.
Here’s what nobody told you: this isn’t aging. This is what happens when your body isn’t getting the right kind of movement. And that is completely within your power to change.
You've Already Tried to Fix This. Here's Why It Hasn't Worked Yet.

You tried Pilates, yoga, stretching classes, strength sessions at your local club...
You showed up, you followed along, you did the exercises. And still the stiffness didn’t ease. The aches didn’t go away. You weren’t getting stronger. You weren’t getting more mobile. You left class feeling like you’d ticked a box rather than actually moved your body. Boring, repetitive, and honestly? Until one day you just… stopped going.

You considered hiring a personal trainer who would finally show you exactly what to do and how to do it...
But the numbers don’t add up. One session costs more than a full month of structured training. Then there’s the schedule: fixed times, fixed locations, someone else’s calendar on top of an already full life. And one quiet question: Would a trainer actually understand what your body needs right now? The stiffness, the history, the need to move smarter, not harder?

You turned to YouTube, searching for something — anything — that might finally work...
But you spent more time searching than moving. Ads, five-minute intros, videos that weren’t quite right and trainers who felt more like influencers chasing views than professionals who actually understood movement. And if you ever had a question? There was nobody to ask. Just a comment section and silence.
I know where you are right now — because I’ve been there myself.
What if breaking through the stiffness, rebuilding your strength, and finally feeling at home in your body again wasn’t about working harder but moving smarter?
That’s not a promise. That’s exactly what happened to me and what I’ve built Budopilates® to do for you.
Too much to do, too many people depending on you (the kids, the ageing parents, the demanding job) and somewhere along the way your own movement routine quietly slipped to the bottom of the list.
That’s exactly where I was.
I was rushing from one commitment to the next, work, responsibilities, other people’s needs always coming first. Training less. Resting less. Telling myself I’d get back to it when things slowed down. They never did.
And then my body stopped waiting for me to make time.
Within nine months I had a lung embolism, serious issues with my thoracic spine, and a ruptured cruciate ligament. Three things that would have been hard enough on their own, arriving one after another before I had time to recover from the last.
fI was scared. Anxious. Exhausted. But the fear that stayed with me longest was quieter than the rest. I no longer felt safe in my own body. The body I had trusted for decades suddenly felt fragile and unpredictable. I thought I had been doing everything right. Apparently not.
So I followed the physiotherapy. I returned to my Pilates routine. And I waited to feel better.
Pilates helped with some things, but on its own it wasn’t giving me everything I needed. My body was asking for something more. What actually began to make a real difference were flexibility and mobility exercises. Movement that worked through space, that combined tension and release, that felt dynamic rather than contained.
So I went back to Taekwondo training. Not to compete, just to move. And something shifted. The flow between tension and relaxation. The dynamic stretching that felt alive in a way static stretching never did. The upright, twisting movements that asked my whole body to participate instead of isolating one muscle at a time on a mat. The pain began to ease, gradually and consistently.
It wasn’t a single moment of revelation. It was a slow, honest realisation: this is what my body needed all along. Not more mat work. Not harder training. The intelligent combination of both, movement that understood how a body actually works, especially a body that has been pushed too hard for too long.
That realisation became Budopilates®.
I didn’t build this method from theory. I built it from the inside of my own recovery, and from knowing exactly what it feels like to lose your connection to your body and have to rebuild it from scratch.
What changed wasn’t just physical although that was real too. The back pain eased. The morning stiffness that had become my unwelcome daily companion gradually disappeared. I could do more in the gym again, without bracing for the consequences. And when I travelled, I actually enjoyed it: the energy to explore, the confidence to keep going, the freedom of moving through the world without my body constantly pulling my attention back to itself.
I also found something I hadn’t expected: calm. The breathwork, the mindful movement, the simple act of showing up for myself regularly, it changed how I responded to stress. Things that used to overwhelm me started to feel manageable.
I felt like myself again. In control. At home in my body.
And I knew this was exactly what I had to share.
Today I reached the floor with my fingers while standing for the first time, the first time in my life! You’re amazing! Thank you for everything!

And Because Strong Movement Starts From the Ground Up...
You’ll Also Receive These As Free Bonuses When You Join:
Feet First Mini Course
Most fitness programmes never train the feet. Yet your feet are the foundation of everything — your posture, your balance, your joint health from the ground up.
When your feet are weak or stiff, your body compensates. Those compensations travel upward — into your knees, your hips, your lower back. Over time that’s where the aches come from.
The Foundation Reset Guide for Strength, Balance & Pain-Free Living
A video library of foot and toe exercises
A 7-day Feet First routine sheet to get started immediately
Touch Your Toes Course
Most people who want to touch their toes do the same thing: stretch. And stretch. And stretch again. And wonder why nothing changes.
Here’s what’s missing: mobility.
Touch Your Toes shows you the complete picture. The stretches that actually work, combined with the mobility exercises most programmes never include
Targeted stretching exercises shown step by step on video
The mobility exercises that make stretching actually work
Short follow-along routines combining both approaches
You’ve been looking for this for a while now.
Not just a workout. Not another programme that promises everything and delivers the same generic routine you’ve already tried. Something that actually makes sense for where you are right now — your body, your life, your schedule.
Something that finally explains the why behind the movement. That works with your 35+ body instead of against it. That leaves you feeling energised after a session instead of broken.
You remember what it felt like to be in control of your body. To move freely, to wake up without bracing for the stiffness, to get through a full day and still have something left. That feeling isn’t gone. It’s just been waiting for the right method to bring it back.
This is that method.
And the best part? You don’t have to figure it out alone. I’ll be right there with you guiding you through every step, answering your questions, and building something together that finally sticks.
You’ve waited long enough. Your body is ready when you are.
